Timothy Perkins

Timothy Perkins is of Cherokee and Natchez tribal descent and currently lives in Johnston with his wife, Julie. Tim is a federal employee who has served in positions such as   Logistics Specialist, Equal Opportunity Employment, and education services. He is also currently serving in the military and has over 30 years of service. 

Tim is active in the community and serves on the Greater Des Moines Partnership's Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Iowa Minority Unemployment and Outreach Standing Committee. He was appointed to the Commission on Native American Affairs in 2016. He enjoys speaking to groups about Native culture, history, and issues.
