Data Reports

Annual reports are intended to further state and local collaborative policy and practice efforts to reduce the overrepresentation of minority youth in Iowa's juvenile justice system.  The reports contain data regarding juvenile population and select juvenile justice decision making points (complaints, allegations, diversions, petitions, adult court waivers, and juvenile detention facility holds).  The data reports are part of an ongoing partnership by the Department of Human Rights, Division of Criminal and Juvenile Justice Planning and Juvenile Court Services to continue engagement of collaboratives and key leadership, to encourage discussion, and to actively affect efforts to reduce juvenile justice system overrepresentation of minority youth.

2022 DMC Compliance Plan

CJJP has developed a web-based application, called the Easy Access to Juvenile Court Data (EZA), to allow for interactive access to key decision points in the juvenile justice system (complaints, charges/allegations, informal adjustments and petitions).  Data in this application are updated every 7 months, to allow for more timely data.
