Public List of Interpreters in Iowa

Search for an Interpreter using Iowa State Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf

* You may access the most recent lists by downloading them directly from the Iowa Bureau of Professional Licensing website. Here are the steps to get the list:

  1. Select "General Public - No Sign In Required " from the IBPL website or go directly to this page.
  2. Click on "Publish License Search".
  3. Click on "Sign Language Interpreters and Transliterators" under the drop down menu for "board" and "license type"
  4. Click on the city from the drop down menu. (and any other desired criteria as well)
  5. Click on the "Search" button.
  6. You may save the file in an Excel spreadsheet by selecting the "export" button.

Licensure

Licensure is handled by the Iowa Department of Public Health.
